During Class

  • Please refrain from talking in the yoga room. Many students use the time before and after yoga class to quietly meditate and center themselves.
  • All yoga classes are 90 minutes, it is part of the discipline of Bikram Yoga that you stay in the yoga room for the duration of class. The studio is heated and because it’s hot and you’re working hard, it may take several classes to become acclimated to the heat. If you feel you need to take a break, stand still or sit/lie down and let it pass. Don’t leave the room, don’t give up, it’s a process. If you have an emergency please advise the teacher. It is up to the discretion of the teacher whether you will be allowed back in the class.
  • Limit your postures to the Bikram series. During yoga class, please do not substitute and/or add postures from other types of Yoga.
  • Only water is allowed in the Yoga room, no colored water or sports drinks.
  • Water – please restrain from drinking water until after Eagle Pose (teacher will announce a water break). After Eagle, students are free to drink water during any break.
  • The students in the front row help the teachers guide the class. In order to be in the front row you have to be an experienced student. You have to set an example for the people that are behind you.

After Class

  • Please respect the teacher by waiting until he/she has left the Yoga room before you leave.
  • If you rented a mat from us, please hang it over the ballet bar on your way out.
  • Enjoy the peace and energy you are taking with you from yoga class, and make the commitment to come back tomorrow!
